About Bakbakan Village

Bakbakan Village, located in Gianyar District, Bali, is known for its serene rural atmosphere and a community that still preserves traditional Balinese values. The majority of the villagers work in agriculture, with vast rice fields, and are also involved in handicrafts and tourism due to its proximity to tourist spots like Goa Rang Reng and Taman Sari. The village is home to several temples and regularly holds religious ceremonies, making it a hub for strong social and cultural life. Though not widely known as a major tourist destination, Bakbakan offers an authentic Balinese village experience with adequate infrastructure and easy access from the center of Gianyar.

Locations and Tourist Attractions in Bakbakan Village

Taman sari

Taman Sari is open to the public starting from 07:30 WITA (Central Indonesia Time), and there is no closing time. However, after 18:00 WITA, visitors can only access the waterfall and the upper pool area. Also, there are no staff or locals on duty around the waterfall area after that time. The entrance fees are divided into four categories: International tourists IDR 25k, local tourists IDR 20k, and children IDR 15k.

Goa Rang Reng

Goa Rang Reng opens at 07:30 and closes at 18:30. The entrance fee is a flat rate of IDR 30k for both international and local tourists.
